Adott a linkelt lista méretű N ahol minden csomópontnak két linkje van: következő mutató a következő csomópontra mutatva és véletlenszerű mutató a lista bármely véletlenszerű csomópontjához. Az ötlet az, hogy egy csomópont duplikátumát hozzuk létre, és ahelyett, hogy külön hash táblában tárolnánk, beilleszthetjük az eredeti csomópont és a következő csomópont közé. Most új csomópontok lesznek alternatív pozíciókban.
